A newly relocated couple from the Lower Mainland tapped Tara Reavie Design to design a new 3,600 square-foot private residence in Kelowna's WIlden Skylands.

The clients requested a balance of livability and clean modern lines, which can be seen in finishes throughout the home from the flat panel cabinets to the chunky open shelving. The kitchen is a study of subtleties and presence. Outlined by streamlined wood details, the creamy textured backspalsh adds softness while the grey stained kitchen island anchors the room.

A richer colour palette brings a sense of playfulness to the lower floor. In the bar area, a brick wall and warm granite countertops serve as the perfect backdrop for a cheerful tangerine coloured fridge. While the tone on tone finishes of the built-in bookshelves and concrete floors create a juxtaposition of strength and calm.
